What Happens If the Muscular System Fails
Below are some things that the muscular system does. Without muscles or if our muscles failed then we could not do these things:
You have over 30 facial muscles which create looks like smiling and frowning. Some muscles are known as voluntary. This means that we can control the actions of our muscles. Voluntary movements are such things as typing, kicking, and walking. Others, like the your heart beating, the movement of your diaphragm so that you can breathe, or blinking your eyes to keep out particles are not controlled by us. They are something called involuntary movements. This means they are automatically moved by the brain. Muscles, attached to bones or internal organs and blood vessels, are responsible for movement, both voluntary and involuntary. Almost all movement in the body is the result of our muscles contricting. The combined action of joints, bones, and muscles make up movements such as walking and talking. In addition to movement, muscle contraction also produces some other important functions in the body, such as posture. Posture is contolled by our skeletal muscles.
Muscle diseases are also a type of failure. Muscle diseases, like any other kind of disease and infection, can affect anybody. It can even make a person physically disabled. The Muscle disease that the patient has can often make the person weak. The person suffering from a muscle diseases is under constant pain and feels weakness in the muscles. He or she finds it difficult to walk, sit and get up, run, stand, or move in harse jerks. In most cases, growing muscle wasting followed by contriction of muscles takes place. Muscle weakness experienced during even regular physical activity can in fact be caused by a lack of physical conditioning, but the human body is a wonderful machine that, when working properly, responds rapidly and efficiently to changing demands. When muscle weakness is acute and to the point of failure however, it is time to find medical help.
